A word from Tim Stone our Head Teaching Professional......

Firstly, may I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has welcomed me back to The National Golf Club. It has been extremely warming to see so many happy and familiar faces, while also meeting many new members who I had not previously met. There is certainly an exciting atmosphere around the club which will, no doubt, lead to exciting times to come. My vision for teaching at The National is also very exciting. With news of the approval toward the new driving range, we are in a position to offer, not only world class tuition and service, but also world class practice facilities.

The National Golf Club is extremely lucky to be able to offer the membership flexibility in time and choice of professional. Between Greg McConnell, Craig Funch and myself, members are able to book lessons with a PGA Professional every day of the week (subject to some limitations on accessibility), a service that is not commonly offered at other golf clubs.

Over the next few months, we will be implementing new activities and events at The National to assist players with their golf. From Saturday 16th February, one of the Golf Professional staff will be available to play golf with members on every Saturday from 10am onwards. Should you see either Greg's, Craig's or my name on the timesheet, please feel free to book your name in with us. While we will not be able to give you assistance in the middle of a competition, we will spend some time after the game in the clubhouse giving you some tips, as well as forwarding a more in depth email to you in the days proceeding. This is a great opportunity for members to play with a professional and will be offered on a first come first served basis.

I will also be spending most Saturday mornings from 7am to 9am on the driving range talking to those who are warming up before their round. Beginning in March, the Golf Professional Staff will be publishing a newsletter for all those who have undertaken lessons with one of our PGA Professionals. These newsletters will be emailed to all students, and will include tuition tips, new product information, outstanding results of students and other such relevant information. Please ensure when you have a lesson that the club has your current email address so as not to be left off the newsletter list.
